HUMAN DEVELOPMENT SYSTEMS

In the world there are about 2,000 studies (systems of knowledge that give answers to all the questions vital to the human being) and 200,000 spiritual theories (that answer some of the questions). Which one is closer to the truth?

1. PRESENT KNOWLEDGE SYSTEMS

In general thinking the primary systems of knowledge (religion, science and esoterics) are often opposed to each other, whereas logically they are inseparably linked. To understand the correlation let us focus on the gradual development of knowledge of the human being about himself and outward things concerning its complication, transfer from one level to another and the role that religion, science and esoterics play in this process. Let us preliminary introduce their definitions.

Religion is a system of knowledge about the human being and outward things on the whole which was mostly transferred through from above revelations. It is described by initial spiritual development techniques (faith, prayer, reverence before an authority). It is primarily directed towards the first level people. Religion predominated on the early stages of social progress and along with the state power was one of the prior factors that united and regulated life standards.

Science is a system of knowledge that particularly concerns the material world. It is based on logic, physical experiment, economic expediency and, as a rule, atheism. When gaining strength, it confronts religion (transfer to democracy). Nowadays science takes first place in the influence on the society. It explains all the processes in the world with the help of physical laws and the relations with the help of psychology.

Esoterics is a system of knowledge about the human being, methods of his development from the 3d up to the 8th level, about the God, implicit and explicit universes, a system based on informal logic, visual experiment and spiritual laws cognition through direct interaction with thin substance world. This study gives the human being the greatest power (up to the extent of syddhs opening), and when it gains dominating influence the conditions to move to the new type society will be created (spiritual renascence, aristocracy of the spirit).

Most probably, these definitions need to be specified but they are quite enough to come to the conclusion that the main knowledge systems are not equivalent, they represent different stages of human cognition, they are directed to people of different levels and realize different aims (religion – the 1st stage, the beginning of spiritual development, science – the 2nd stage, material world, intelligence development, esoterics – the 3rd stage, complex development of all spiritual, energy and other abilities of the human being).

2. BASIC STUDIES

The final aim of the article is to help a person to choose his way of development by providing him with the system of present directions and schools evaluation necessary to make the choice. We have taken the first step: the connection of the basic systems of knowledge with the levels of human development was determined. Now let us take another step and choose among a great number of studies only the ones that are the closest to understanding the Truth and are able to give a person the highest possible opportunities to develop.

To do this let us make use of the analysis of the results the representatives of different studies have got (Quality) but not of the number of followers (Quantity). In that case we will have an interesting view. Despite a great number of studies and spiritual theories only a few of them allowed to get the top results in the development, each study in its sphere. The basic of them are science philosophy, classical yoga and Buddhism.

Science philosophy is logic, cognition methods of the material world that are the basis of technical progress of the society. This philosophy has made the greatest impact on the human mentality development but it has not made the man happy. Since esoretic studies are very complicated and have high demands to a person, they have not become open to general use but they do develop human extraabilities and form the highest possible feeling of happiness.

Classical yoga is nowadays the only study that gives almost the highest possible results in energy abilities development of the human (undamagedness of the body, energy control, meditative techniques of communication with the supreme world and others). Buddhism is an esoteric study for fewer number of its followers (for the others it is a religion) and serves as the basis of most martial arts (highest abilities of body control) and it reveals a quantity of other abilities.

Together with this the same spiritual laws aimed to realize the Creator’s ideals (love, good, justice, etc.) are the basis for world religions and a lot of esoteric studies. In that way popular directions do not produce high results while the above studies have existed for a long time and so far have given the unsurpassed results. The study of the future will evidently be much more powerful and able to unite all the studies into a single whole.

3. DEVELOPMENT SYSTEMS ANALYSIS

Yet yoga and Buddhism are rarely met in pure form (only about ten most powerful schools) and have a lot of secondary branches. But for development a comprehensible direction should be chosen. So, let us view the classification of different studies in accordance with their levels (determines the top which a system is potentially able to bring a person to) and systematized organization (determines real ability and effectiveness of set aims achievements – a human development level).

The levels of studies are determined by aims of their existence and development techniques used. They correspond human development levels. The studies of energy level are aimed to develop the highest possible energy power. They use techniques of auto-suggestion, meditation and different methods to work with energy. The studies of mental level are aimed to form the ideal consciousness and also use thought techniques. The transmutation levels studies are aimed to create a divine man on Earth.

These levels can be classified more detaily, and, normally, the transfer from one study level to another is carried out in natural manner. Unfortunately, many schools establish strict blocks (prohibitions) to proceed to the following development levels. For example, in religion meditation, astrology, etc. (energy level) are supposed to be “from the devil”, while in meditative schools intelligence development is supposed to be consciousness “sweepings”, etc.

Systematized organization is determined by strictly defined development program availability and exploitable techniques completeness. For example, in yoga, martial arts and a number of other schools lessons are carefully scheduled for many years onward that helps their followers achieve significant results. On the other hand, there are directions where followers are left on their own (Rerih’s communities, Sri Chinmoy’s school) that complicates their development.

Completeness includes complex use of all development techniques (physical exercises, auto-suggestion, meditation, work with information) and balanced stage-by-stage influence on all human constituents. For example, in integral yoga energy development is realized with the help of one base technique (contemplation), by influence only through one chakra (sahasrara, descending power stream). Similar situation can be observed in Sri Chinmoy’s school (meditation to love, inclusion of atman, way of heart). So, the more complete a system is the more effective it is.

4. ADDITIONAL CRITERIA

Development is one of basic karmic aims of the human being in any of his lives. The choice of development way demands responsibility and proper knowledge if a person behaves seriously and do not attend different schools just for pleasure or to escape from life, etc. So, let us review a number of criteria that allows to evaluate possible effectiveness of development in present esoteric schools (there are a lot of misconceptions here).

The completeness of karmic aims achievement is the first additional characteristic feature of the study. It is determined by accordance of his aims to basic vital purposes of the human being (work, private life, environment, development, feeling of happiness) set by spiritual laws. The studies which ignore any of the above purposes conflict with the thin substance world laws and sometimes become unsocial. Orientation toward the achievement of all purposes mentioned makes a study more complicated and effective.

The next criterion is exactingness or omnivorousness. Exactingness is based on understanding the rules of human inner life and, consequently, inserts students’ realization of definite conditions (discipline, other personal characteristics) when entering an esoteric school. Omnivorousness discloses lack of knowledge mentioned and leads to the group of people who draw back other students’ development.

The third additional description that often hurts people’s pride is hierarchicalness or democraticness (democratic relationship). All schools that give high results are built on principles of hierarchy, on followers’ respect to the teacher and senior students (according to their talents, but not to their age) and learning from them. Esoteric schools with democratic relationship between a presenter and listeners create nice friendly atmosphere but make study much more difficult.

The last additional criterion is clearness when regulating relationship, solving conflicts, problems, etc. If it is available it lets us solve different problems and resolve the contradiction that happen in a group quickly and in time. If it is absent it causes dissatisfaction that causes in stress in a group. It definitely does not favor effective study. Clearness might not satisfy some listeners but it is aimed to form a group as single whole. So, if you understand or feel the necessity to develop yourself the following rules can help you.

There are no ideal esoteric schools nowadays. Each school has its advantages and disadvantages. However since the development in a system is much more effective than development on one's own a person should choose the best among the schools available.

The most powerful schools that give a person highly possible abilities make the highest demands: inner discipline, deliverance from all mistakes and defects, observance of all rules of a system, etc.

The base criterion which determines the power of an esoteric school is its level that is set by the level of its aims and methods (systematized organization ). The additional criteria are completeness of karmic aims realization, exactingness, hierarchicalness and clearness.

WHAT TO BELIEVE IN?

“God forbid to live in the epoch of changes,” the Chinese say. We already are not in luck: we live just at the transition from the communist past to the strange future stage. So, if we got into such times we have nothing to do but to choose: either to find some normal way out of the situation, or to live, to put it mildly, not very happy life. So, the aim of the article is to determine the most essential inward and outward problems of the human being, analyze their reasons and try to find the worthiest solutions.

1. Base problems and their reasons

It is known that human consciousness reflects processes that happen in our society in any way. So, let us describe them. The situation is as follows: what we can watch is struggle between two competitive ideologies, communist and democratic. Both rivals have their merits and demerits. But the latest results of the struggle show these forces are almost equal. And till the opposition lasts, the society cannot move from a dead point and will continue degrading, carrying millions of people away to the very bottom.

The present struggle of the two ideologies caused one of the most fatal consequences: the collapse of social and human notions, aims, ideals and values without giving their adequate substitution. It deprives a lot of people the sense of their life, ruins the basis of their spirituality and generates a huge shot of negative energies. Under the circumstances the display of the worst attributes of the democracy: bribability, a thirst for profit, a cult of violence (criminality) and sensual pleasure (sex, food, comfort) occurs to be natural. If we accept it as the basis, the human being will not be much different from the animal.

As a result, many people have lost responsibility to themselves and they don’t know what other things besides survival they can aim at, what they can believe in and what to count on in the nearest future. Exalted feelings and best features are slipping away from interrelations: love is being substituted by sex, devotion and friendship – by profit, sincerity – by deceit... People’s distrustful and critical attitude to politics and authorities is smoothly turning into absolute indifference. So, it is quite natural that drug addiction, prostitution and suicides increase is not surprising for anybody in our country.

Present-day science special emphasis on technology and economics development and low emphasis on the Human Being research aggravates the situation. The same situation is in the educational system as a whole: it teaches a profession but not the art of life. Neither secondary nor higher school teach how to choose the aims of life, how to understand and estimate oneself, to organize a family, how to establish strong positive interrelations, to make a career, etc.

2. Possible Way

Most people understand that effective development of the society is possible with a well-defined purpose available: society model and domination of ideology that corresponds it. Neither democracy nor communism can claim to the role in full measure, since, on the one hand, they are nearly equal in power, on the other hand, they have mostly used up their potential and are not able to solve all the problems of the human being. So, the most probable way out of the present situation is to create a new social theory able to beat any of the ideologies in force and unite political and other society forces on its basis.

Let us try to formulate the demands to this theory. Society of the future can’t allow a person to get the answers to the most important vital questions “in the street”, from any dubious sources or from parents who didn’t get proper education. The following questions are regarded to be the ones: how a person is developed, what his (her) abilities and fate depend on, how to organize one’s life in the best way, etc. All of these should become the subject of fundamental scientific research, and in the center of the new social theory, most likely, will be the knowledge of the Human Being himself, the ways of his (her) development and self-actualization.

Knowledge is primary. It builds up the human’s consciousness, his (her) conceptions, striving, aims and talents. Owing to their talents people elect the authorities and establish social relations including economic ones. So, the attempts to improve economics not on the basis of principally new knowledge level, changes inside the human being and interrelation system as a whole will fail to lead to considerable progress of our society. Secondly, society of the future, being conscious of these regularities/rules, for the sake of its development should put in the forefront knowledge about the Human Being, his/her education and upbringing as a powerful and socially active personality.

But all of these will be possible in future. The question is what a person should do now? At least, everything dependent on him/her: self-actualization in the family, at work and in the interrelations with his/her associates. In many respects it is quite enough to make one’s life rich and happy. But for that proper knowledge and abilities are needed. Since we have not obtained them before, this knowledge and abilities should be gained on one’s own through learning and development. But for that a person has to refuse a lot of illusions: that our conceptions about the world are perfect, that the government will care of us, that our own weaknesses, follies and mistakes will always be forgiven.

3. First steps

Perhaps, others take such a complex approach; but the author doesn’t know about it. The System “Development of the Human” is created and works right in this direction. Its main activity is to do basic research, publish own books, write teaching programmes and train students.

Firstly, on the basis of society development regularities (reinforcement, complication, increase of positiveness level of the society) a new social theory is originated and aimed at long lasting prediction of social processes and the subsequent choice of the optimum administration strategy.

Secondly, society of the future needs a new, more perfect in every respect human; to teach him we need to fundamentally change the approach to teaching itself. And it is fulfilled within the limits of the System. It means that the information of the teaching programmes is given proportionally to its influence on the basic activities of the human life: the level of development (conseptions, talents, outer manifestations) and the fate (self-actualization in the family, at work and in the relationships). At the same time synthesis of both scientific and esoteric knowledge is put into effect (no matter what people believe in, the results yoga and martial arts masters demonstrate are based on esoteric and cannot be reached by sportsmen who use the latest achievements of science and engineering).

Though the final aim of the System is the most effective development of all the talents of the human, we start with the minor things. Our investigation along with the data of UNESCO show that 70% of all the human problems are the result of psychology and life organization. That is why we start working with most of our students with complex solution of the above mentioned problems (these groups are regularly organized). Only afterwards transition to purposeful development of the intellect, spirituality and will is possible. And it is achieved through the system of continuous evening education.

...

ESOTERIC THINKING OR WHAT PEOPLE BELIEVE IN

Though training sportsmen involves the latest achievements of science and technology, they are yet unable to demonstrate the results possible for esoteric systems adepts (for example Sri Chinmoy can lift 2 tonnes with one hand).

Essential difference of the training of the latter is purposeful forming personal qualities, applying energetic techniques (self-induction, meditation) combined with philosophical education that is developing intelligence, which is the focus of the present article.

1. Habitual thinking

The basis of the habitual thinking inherent in the majority of people is weakness (inability to do anything) in its different manifestations and absence of any wish to get rid of this weakness. It rests first and foremost on three “whales”: irresponsibility, non-adequate self-estimation and reluctance of cognition, which are initially inherited from our parents, then the medium we live in, school, etc. in accordance with life stereotypes.

Let us look into the “whales”.

Irresponsibility stands for one’s inability and absence of wish to bear responsibility for one’s manifestations (emotions, states, abilities, etc.), one’s fate and current events. It is programmed by passive attitude to life, which is provided by our society through ignorance in and absence of understanding of spiritual and social laws, techniques of self-transformation, which in the end blocks one of the basic elements of human consciousness, the will of the human.

Non-adequate self-estimation is most frequently programmed by wrong upbringing or the attitude of the others; this may undermine one’s belief in oneself (the type “Miserable” – “It will not work with me”) or just the opposite, may put one over the rest of the people (the type “Pride” – “I am always right. I am perfect”). In both cases one forms distorted idea of oneself and reactions of the surrounding world to one, which causes blocking the second basic element of consciousness, spirituality.

Reluctance of cognition stands for one’s inability or absence of wish to think over things, which can change his/her internal world (notions, qualities, etc.), even if these notions and qualities make him suffer, degrade and deprive him/her of the desired. The reason for it lies in dogmatism (“things should go just this way”) and one’s motivation system, accusing people and the world of “imperfectness” (absence of correspondence with the notions), which block the last element of consciousness, intellect

If man is deprived of at least one element, he/she has a chance to start his way to development. As a rule it happens with the assistance of Karma, its influence of the non-blocked part of the consciousness: putting one in the situation of survival (activation of the will, e.g. P. Bregg), facing the deadlock of development (activation of the spirituality, re-estimating oneself and one’s life), facing the unknown (switching on the intellect). Simultaneous presence of the three considered negative qualities practically completely deprive man of a possibility to develop in this life.

2. Esoteric thinking

The first thing to be done for providing one’s transformations and one’s life is to acknowledge that the state of weakness, poverty and absence of happiness are not normal for the human, that he/she suffers where he/she is wrong or does not possess appropriate power to cope with a certain problem. The next step is getting rid of habitual thinking that is purposeful forming the qualities stipulating one’s ability to develop.

Responsibility is the first characteristics of esoteric thinking, which embraces all the spheres of human existence; it winds up his/her will (an internal source of energy of transformation and activity) into the maximum possible mode. Taking responsibility for one’s manifestations and one’s fate is a turning point in a human life, in the subtle world it stands for linking up to him the forces responsible for fulfilling the aims set on the Earth.

Dynamic self-estimation is such comprehension of oneself, which maximally activates the human’s striving to develop and at the same time make one invulnerable to different estimations of the surrounding people. Forming such self-estimation comes to the following universal formula: “I have a lot of faults and merits, but the main, which makes me sure of myself, is my striving to perfection, constant work on myself, getting rid of all faults and amplifying merits.”

Openness to cognition is an ability of unprejudiced comprehension and understanding of the information transforming the human. This, first of all, concerns criticism (its wise application allows acknowledge already manifested faults and get rid of them) and following the chosen way of development (in many cases man should come through the trust to the Teacher, notwithstanding the fact that his words may contradict generally accepted ideas).

The first stage of transforming one’s thinking is the most challenging since one has to deal with a lot of internal obstacles, the other stages with correct approach to the education are logically continuous, thus they are easier to pass. The second stage, that is passing the third level of development, presupposes purposeful working out personal qualities through meditation and activity. In the following stages one becomes a skilful “programmer”, he/she forms ideal consciousness applying his/her thoughts-programmes.

3. Esoteric attitude to life

Life for the human taking the way of development stops being a duty and turns into a wonderful possibility for doing a lot of the most interesting things. Firstly, it is self-development, revealing one’s new abilities, mysteries of sub-consciousness, etc., secondly, it is correcting one’s Karma (expiation of one’s sins and delusions), forming future fate (acting worthily) and a lot more.

Besides man learns how to content oneself with the little, how to achieve the maximum in all manifestations: to learn to live, to set and fulfil worthy aims not fearing to lose everything in a wink. One of the key features of the human, following this way, is the dominance of spiritual values over material, when the notion of honesty becomes meaningful, one of the corner stones of a person.

Honesty is an internal requirement of the human to him/herself to observe a certain code of honesty, accepted in a certain system. These codes may differ considerably, however, they rest on two basic rules:

1. The necessity of one’s own impeccable conduct, which does not jeopardise honesty and dignity of others, consideration of the closest.

2. The necessity to protect one’s own and that of the closest honesty never leaving any insult or humiliation unpunished.

However, if for a warrior or aristocrat protecting their honesty would be appropriate in a duel, an esoteric person would arrange it in the other way, for the latter may apply his/her knowledge about the invisible world. In other words, the duel may take place but in the astral world, where the person has at his/her disposal magic, auspices of the powers of Light etc., that is the basis to ensure that justice wins and the evil does not stay unpunished.

Man with completely formed thinking is deprived of fear, he/she believes that if his/her conduct is impeccable, he/she stays under the auspices of the Absolute, if the God sends him/her ordeals, he/she is ready to deal with them. Besides he/she has an opportunity to practically verify the immortality of his/her soul, to enter the subtle world and communicate with the people who passed on long ago, to study the laws of fate through the history of their incarnations and a lot more.

4. Basic principles of energetic development

Esoteric science provides man with huge, not yet researched by traditional science, opportunities, but to look into the mass of different recommendations, which also include ones to reveal esoteric abilities, without assistance is quite problematic. Thus we will single out the basic recommendations, which define the efficiency of the development of the human, and the violation of which practically reduces all efforts to nothing. These principles also allow estimation of the effectiveness of esoteric systems of development.

Principle 1. The basis of energetic development (revealing extra-sensorial abilities, teaching of control of one’s own energies and systems, strengthening one’s own body by way of self-induction, meditation, etc.) lies in accumulating energy (building-up its volume, optimising its quality). Accumulating energy is an aim to last many years, one of the basic ones in the development, which is fulfilled through gathering energy, preserving it and using it reasonably.

Principle 2. Gathering energy should be regular and complex (for all components of the human). Physical exercises charge mainly physical body, meditation – mainly subtle bodies, self-induction – mainly charkas (consciousness). Gathering energy only for one of the components of the human first may give certain results, but later having exhausted its store, will block further development.

Principle 3. Preserving energy should be permanent during a day, which is achieved through self-control and abilities to command one’s condition (in classic yoga it corresponds to Niyama, in religions – to the life with love in the heart). At the initial stages of development the human does not comprehend his/her conditions, whereas in the further stages preserving energy becomes immensely important (negative condition stands for the loss of energy, positive – for its preserving and automatic gathering).

Principle 4. Rational use of energy presupposes knowing how to apply it (in business, communication, etc.) to bring maximum output (fulfilling aims, developing relationships). This is achieved by rational life organisation (rhythm, complete use of one’s potential, absence of over-loadings) and studying psychology (with whom and how to communicate to enjoy it, to gather positive energies rather than to lose them).

So, if you have an interest in esoteric knowledge aroused and you would like to practically use it for yourself, it would be desirable to remember the following basic rules:

1. The way of development is not always garlanded with roses, its summons are reached by the few, the most persistent, so never get into despair or lose hope, only on that condition the aims will be achieved.

2. Before starting to study esoteric theory and moreover its practice, make sure that you are ready for it internally, that is you have taken responsibility for your manifestations and your fate, adopted dynamic self-estimation and opened yourself to the cognition, to transforming yourself.

To develop in one certain system is much more efficient than to move forward oneself, thus, of all systems choose the one, which may give you maximum possibilities or create your own.

...

IS EVERYTHING Î.Ê.?!

One may easily check to what extent your knowledge of people and yourself is correct. You should just decide whether you are happy. If everything goes right and you are in wonderful mood all day long, you may congratulate yourself. If sometimes you are down in the mouth and the reality leaves much to be desired, it is high time you thought: “Am I doing everything right to become a happy person?”

1. Formula of happiness

It stands to evidence that every normal person would like to be happy, and the formula of happiness would not harm him/her, however, one’s common sense tells that there is not and cannot be any. In fact, there have been lots of failures in search of this formula, which just testifies, however, to the fact that it is incredibly sophisticated rather than insolvable. Thus, let us try and ponder upon it to get the simplest answer to this most complicated question.

We will set about with the analysis what we use our life for, that is what we spend our time on. We will obtain the following picture. The basic components of life, which characterise the fate of the human, are: career (it stipulates the position in the society, well-being and lots more), private life (love, family, children), people around (friendship, respect, mutual help), development (health, various abilities and our attitude to life), different miscellaneous expenditures presenting no great interest (dwelling, transport, etc.). In this case as the basic condition of complete happiness one may consider interesting and well-paid job, eventful and enjoyable private life, presence of reliable and devoted friends. But this is not enough. One should be considerate about all this not to fritter away and stay alone and broken. For almost all people at least once in their life experience love, though just a few manage to preserve it.

Once the Strugatskiy brothers, famous Russian science fiction authors, gave a concise formula of happiness: “I want – I can”. If we develop it further, little will have to be done, to answer just two questions to yourself: 1. “What should I want to fit me best, to be accessible, worthy and involve the least losses?” 2. “How can it be achieved, what abilities, possibilities it takes and where one can study this?”

Thus the formula of happiness is quite simple: to become happy one should know how to choose aims (that is to have a clear idea what we want from our job, private life, people around and ourselves) and to achieve them optimally. There is only one way to it: getting appropriate knowledge, self-cognition, getting rid of faults and prejudices, amplifying merits and revealing all potential abilities in the human through purposeful development.

2. What do we have?

Sad as it is, there are more than enough problems in people’s relationships in our complicated times. In private life conflicts, disappointments, divorces, adulteries are growing in number. One is getting married and seems to be in love, but with the time the love disappears somewhere; if it is a marriage of convenience, then again love is scarce there. From the first sight, one may state that there is no happiness in life.

However, let us not make hasty conclusions. If there is at least one family on the Earth (and there are far more!) that managed to carry love through all their life, to achieve complete mutual understanding and harmony, than it is, in fact, possible for every person. But love is a high art, which should be taught since childhood in a normal society; if man has not been implanted the notion of it in his/her childhood, he may make up for it by himself later.

The situation is not better with the surrounding. A lot people suffer from loneliness and absence of understanding of the closest; and reliable and devoted friends (like in “The Three Musketeers” by A. Dumas) are something just to dream about. There are a lot of reasons for it, but if one puts aside the external ones (life has become harder and more difficult), then one question is appropriate: “What has one done himself to have such friends?” In many cases he/she has done simply nothing or moreover, by his/her indifference, detached airs, aggressiveness etc. one has “managed” to distance oneself from them.

In the end, one receives what one deserves, so one should start with changing oneself. As far as we accuse circumstances and other people of our sufferings and troubles, we practically have no chance to make sound conclusions and improve our life. All sources of spiritual knowledge, including the Bible, preach the same: to become happy, one should learn to. “There is no condemnation of the God. You reap what you have sown”.

Unfortunately, they do not teach this in modern school. To a certain extent, psychology answers the questions above, but when one’s feelings are reduced to biochemical processes in the brain this often causes the protest: “Where is the soul here? “ Soul and spiritual laws are considered in spiritual and esoteric schools, which do not simply consider them but purposefully teach to communicate with one’s own soul and the subtle world so that, apart from all the rest, to find out everything about one’s “half” beforehand. But this is the topic of another discussion.

3. A bad habit

So, one should be taught everything in this life and one should deserve everything. But what people do when such problems appear in their lives? Most often they practice self-deceit, the most frequent among all the types of lies. There are lots of its versions (escaping from real life, self-approval, substitution, etc.), its ultimate aim here is that one should not think, change oneself, apply any considerable efforts and take serious steps.

People escape from reality and from the decision of the most important problems in different ways. Some, for example, have pet-dogs and give them all their unclaimed affection, some try to abate one’s pain and loneliness by wine, drugs, abuses, the others prefer not to think about it, etc. Besides, there are a lot of companies and even spiritual schools-shelters, the only aim of which is to give an illusion that everything is all right with man and his life and there is no need to change anything.

Substitution appears when the desired is started to be presented as the real (for example, if disgusting acts are ascribed honourable, non-existing motives) or when the person decides to content oneself with the little (for example, to substitute all the completeness of tender feelings by just sights, sighs and dreams). But even if one has decided to change oneself and one’s life, it is not at all simple to do it; there are a lot of underwater riffs on the way of such global transformations.

The first stumbling point is the hope to solve all problems having read a certain amount of books. This plan may be fulfilled just partially. In many cases man is not only able to follow all recommendations, but also cannot receive just satisfactory answers to his/her questions. Having in mind contradictions among the approaches of different authors, one may get confused even more, rather than clarify the situation.

There are a lot of other ways of solving the problems of relationships, which do not yield expected results. The main reason for it is the following. Every problem has its own level of complexity and therefore for its solution an appropriate level of the internal human’s strength is required. If the complexity of the problem exceeds the level of the human’s strength, than neither of the recommendations can help him/her. There is yet a way out here: one should become stronger first.

4. The way to freedom and happiness

One of the basic indicators of the internal strength of the human is just the list of the problems he/she is able to handle. A strong man tries to cope with the obstacles and therefore become even stronger, and a weak one gives up and to justify oneself (to keep his/her beliefs and his/her internal world unchanged) maintains that his/her state is inevitable. There are a lot of qualities, which differ a strong person from a weak one, but one should start with the following.

Taking complete responsibility for one’s fate is the first step towards freedom and happiness. If man takes this responsibility, he/she has a motive to comprehend the laws of fate and there appears at least a chance to control it. This is automatically followed by the responsibility for all one’s manifestations, which in esoteric science is achieved by purposeful training and has the following stages: control of actions and words, control of emotions and states, control of thoughts, etc.

Step two is forming dynamic self-estimation, presupposing acknowledging many known and unknown faults, many revealed and not yet revealed merits. The basis of the positive action of this self-estimation is its orientation towards continuous development; search and elimination of faults, their substitution by merits. The basic negative variants of self-estimation completely stall the development; the type Miserable: “Nothing will work with me”, the type Pride: “I am perfect and always right”.

Finally, the third step on this way is openness to cognition and re-estimation of already formed values and ideas (“tested by experience”, turned into beliefs, habits and stipulating the character of the person). But have they made him/her strong and happy? If not, then they are founded on various delusions, which should be got rid of.
